This work aims to investigate the presence of cronotopoi in the Ancient novel, primarily Saddle Riggings » Backriggings focusing on Daphnis and Chloe, by Longus of Lesbos (circa IInd century AD), work classified as "adventure novel of ordeal" genre according to Mikhail Bakhtin.In this study it will be examined the motifs related to the cronotopoi and the echo of these aesthetic resources in later works.Emphasis will be given on Outdoor Dining Bench with Cushion analyzing the modes of representation of the locus amoenus, the love meeting and initiation and the meaning effects these phenomena bring to the text.
